Detroit Parent Collective

Detroit Playgarden is a non-profit program created by our founder’s son Carnieche to provide a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing space where children can connect with nature in Detroit. Learning to care for the environment and create dedicated areas of natural beauty in the world, particularly urban environments, gives children a sense of control, belonging, stewardship, and pride for their communities. Our program places special emphasis on reaching at-risk children who may have special needs and/or at risk of dropping out of school.
