Wayne County offers these free preschool opportunities: Head Start, Early Head Start and the Great Start Readiness Program. They each use research-based curriculum to prepare children both academically and socially for success in school. GSRP Programs are for Michigan children who are 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 (with some exceptions available for those who turn 4 by Dec 1) with middle and below income levels.
