Since 2005 we’ve been inspiring school-aged students to write confidently and skillfully with the help of adult volunteers in their communities. Thousands of students in 826michigan’s free programs have enriched the literary landscape with their powerful voices, boundless creativity, and infectious enthusiasm.
Mission
At 826michigan, our free programs focus on writing for a few simple reasons: equal access to quality writing education is the best way to give students the tools they need to understand themselves, authentically connect with one another, and access the power within themselves to build a better world.
